Run a count

1. 01

   Open a count and set its scope

   Choose what this count covers — the whole floor, one aisle, or a handful of bays. A count that covers less finishes sooner and is easier to trust; there is no prize for doing everything at once.

2. 02

   Assign zones to phones

   Split the scope into zones and send each one to a phone. Everybody knows where to start, and nobody has to be told twice.

3. 03

   Walk and scan

   Each phone shows only its own zone. A bay locks when somebody opens it, so two people cannot count the same shelf. If the Wi-Fi drops, the phones relay for one another and keep going — the count does not stop because the network did.

4. 04

   Review the variances

   When the walking is done the hub shows what does not match, sorted by the money at stake rather than alphabetically. Recount what looks wrong, accept the rest, set aside anything you want to think about.

5. 05

   Push the corrections

   Nothing has been written to Odoo or Shopify until this moment. When you approve, the corrections go across as per-product adjustments and every write is logged on the hub, so you can show what changed and when.
